Your Whole Valley booking includes the three-bedroom cottage, all three glamping pods and the barn: your communal space for dining, games and relaxing together, exclusively for your group. Sleeping accommodation is separate, in the cottage bedrooms and pods.
Plan a family reunion or a weekend with friends in your own six-acre valley near Abbeycwmhir in Powys, Mid Wales, within reach of Rhayader and the Elan Valley. Group stays accommodate 13–16 guests, depending on the mix of adults and children and how the pod futons are used. Exclusive use means no shared facilities and no other guests.
The barn brings everyone together around its kitchen, dining and lounge spaces. Cook and share meals, head outside for games or a forest walk, then settle around the fire as the light fades. Dogs are welcome; see the practical details below before booking.

Three pods, each with its own layout, timber interior and wood-burning stove. Each has a separate private outdoor bathroom with a flushing toilet and hot shower. USB and USB-C charging points are provided; there are no three-pin plug sockets.

A little planning, a relaxed stay
Good to know before you book.
Sleeping spaces and bathrooms
The cottage has two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom with two single beds, and two bathrooms. Larch has twin beds; Rowan has a double bed and a single in a separate room; Oak has a king-size bed. Each pod also has a small double futon sofa bed and its own outdoor bathroom with a hot shower, flushing toilet and basin. In extreme winter weather, if the pods’ outdoor bathrooms need to close, we open the barn shower as an alternative. It is not normally available. The barn is your private communal space, with a kitchen and toilet; sleeping accommodation is in the cottage and pods. Group stays accommodate 13–16 guests, depending on the mix of adults and children and how the futons are used, with a maximum of 16. Each small double futon suits one adult or two children.
What to pack
Bedding is provided for all main beds. For any futons you plan to use, please bring your own bedding, such as a sleeping bag and pillow. All guests on group stays need to bring their own bath towels. Toiletries, a torch and suitable outdoor footwear are recommended. Hand towels and a bath mat are provided in the cottage and barn.
Arriving and parking
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am. The approach includes a two-mile drive through the forest. Free parking is available for up to eight cars in the designated spaces. The pods are around 40–50 metres from the cottage along a woodland path, with no vehicle access. Please keep gates and the driveway clear.
Warmth, hot tub and kitchen essentials
Your group has a covered, self-heating hot tub. All wood-burner fuel for the pods is included, with night briquettes in winter. A starter supply of logs, kindling and firelighters is provided for the barn; additional barn and outdoor logs are available to buy. Tea, coffee, sugar, basic cooking essentials and kitchen cleaning supplies are provided. A highchair is available on request.
Bringing dogs
Up to three well-behaved dogs are welcome and must be included in your booking. Bring their bedding and towels, keep them off furniture and out of the upstairs cottage rooms, and do not leave them unattended. Dogs likely to chase the free-roaming animals must be on a lead. Children and dogs need supervision around the open pond and animals.
Wi-Fi and off-grid living
Wi-Fi is available. The pods have USB and USB-C charging points, but no standard three-pin plug sockets. We are off grid, so please use utilities thoughtfully. There is no dishwasher or tumble dryer; please leave high-energy appliances such as portable heaters and air fryers at home.
